RBC ION+ Visa Card + Moi Rewards welcome bonus offer increased to $150 in value
Several weeks ago RBC released the best ever bonuses on their pair of ION Cards offering up to 21,000 Avion points (learn more here) At the same time they were also continuing to offer their separate bonuses that featured bonus Moi Rewards points in addition to Avion points.
Those offers have now been updated with the ION+ card receiving an increased Moi Rewards points bonus and the ION card having it’s offer extended. ** The Moi bonus option on these cards is only recommended for those in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick and only if you can’t make the spending requirement of the primary elevated ION card offers. as there is no spend requirement on these offers**

Changes coming to the prepaid Wealthsimple Cash Card
The Wealthsimple Cash Card, which has been a favourite for many travellers is undergoing some changes which has pleased some people but for the majority, seem to be steaming mad at dirt! So what should we tackle first? The good news or the bad? Let’s go with the bad:
As of October 1st the card will lose its 1% cash back rewards effectively removing this card from the rewards market. This is what has people pissed – not only for the fact they are losing the 1% but the short notice of the end of this reward. This was announced on September 25th – less than a week before the actual change.
So that’s the bad, now to the good news which does have some people happy. As of October 2nd, ATM fees charged to card globally will be reimbursed instead of just within Canada. They are also removing the $5 reibursement cap on withdrawal fees. So if you use the card to withdraw from any ATM almost anywhere in the world you will have those fees refunded to you.
It should be mentioned as well that the card does retain No Foreign Transaction Fees!
