Choice Privileges expands award booking window and adds more redemption options for 2025

Choice Privileges, the frequent guest program of Choice Hotels (Quality Inn, Comfort Suites etc.) is making some positive changes for 2025. These include expanding the booking window for award nights (It’s always been odd that Choice had such a limited window for booking awards prior to a stay), adding premium room redemption options and bringing back some saver awards:

Expanded booking window: Book a reward night up to 50 weeks in advance,
Premium room types: Redeem points for the premium features such as extra space, a better view or an upgraded room, at select hotels.
Choice RewardSaver: Choice is re-introducing the popular Radisson Hotels Americas redemption tool that allows members to book rewards nights starting at 6000 points–down from the previous minimum of 8,000.

Time to load your weekly shopping bonus offers!

It’s Thursday! So you know what that means! Time to check and load all your personalized shopping offers.

Scene+

The overall spend offers this week for Scene+ Grocery at Sobeys and Safeway are back to being really good ones – 500 bonus points for $50 spend and they can each be earned up to 3 times over the course of three weeks untll November 21. I’ll probably end up earning all of them as I shop at both frequently with lower spends in that $50 range.

The personalized offers weren’t very personalized this week. I think I only saw one item from the 20 or so offers that I have actually bought in the past and would buy again.

There is also an overall spend offer for Safeway/Sobeys liquor of 800 bonus points for $40+ spend.

And don’t forget to use your Scene+ earning credit card for your purchases to earn even more points, namely the Scotiabank Gold American Express Card which earns an amazing 6 points per dollar (a 6% return) at Sobeys, Safeway, IGA and other Empire grocery stores.

AIR MILES

Most of the AIR MILES Receipts continue to be the same ones that have been on offer for the past few weeks including the couple of liquor offers for those of us in Alberta, B.C. and New Brunswick!

And don’t forget about the 5x miles for when you earn at least miles via an in-store AIR MILES partner, AIR MILES Card Linked offers and/or AIR MILES Shops on November 2nd only. Opt in is required! Learn more here.

Moi Rewards

Metro stores in Ontario this week are once again offering 500 bonus points when you spend $60+ or 1,000 bonus points when you spend $100+

PC Optimum

They have a new gift card offer available this week where you can earn 5,000 bonus points for every $50 bought of McDonald’s gift cards. Not that anyone would go hog wild buying McD’s gift cards but in case you do remember that even though the gift card offer terms makes it seem unlimited, the terms of and conditions of the program of purchases in excess of what a single family household should be spending, can get you in trouble. So proceed with caution.

There is also a 20,000 bonus points offer launching at Shoppers Drug Mart starting on Friday November 1. This is valid on purchases of $60 or more.
