Neo Financial is now charging a 3% Foreign Exchange Fee on their credit cards
Mark as this something I totally missed a few months ago! As I was perusing the RFD thread on the new Neo Financial World Elite Mastercard there was a post from a member stating Neo bumped up the FX fee on their cards to 3% from 2.5% this past July. Learn more about that change here.
To the best of my knowledge this is now the highest FX fee charged in Canada as it is higher than the 2.9% charged on ATB credit cards. If you know of any cards charging a higher rate do please let me know.
A half percent increase may not seem like much but if you are someone making a lot purchases in foreign currencies on your Neo credit card it can add up quickly! This is where you really should be looking at a card that offers No Foreign Transaction Fees or a card that offers rewards higher than the FX fee. Earn World of Hyatt points for Peloton work outs at Hyatt Hotels
The Hyatt Hotels – Peloton partnership now provides World of Hyatt bonus points for completing qualifying Peloton rides when staying at participating locations. There are now over 700 Hyatt locations in Worldwide including 17 in Canada that have introduced Peloton Bike, Bike+ or Row machines into their fitness rooms. World of Hyatt members simply need to link their WoH account to their Peloton account and then complete a bike or row of 20 minutes to earn 100 bonus points.
