American Express Cobalt Card transit multiplier has been fixed

A heads up to all you Cobalt Cardmembers who have been contacting us about only receiving 1x points instead of 2x points when you using your card for Presto, Compass and other transit purchases. We discussed the issues* with Amex when they first arose back in October and Amex has followed up to let the RWRDS Canada community know the issue has now been fixed:

“A technical issue related to accelerators being applied to certain transit merchants has been resolved. Cardmembers who should have received points will see them credited to their accounts in the coming weeks.”

Please let us know if you are now receiving 2x points on all your transit purchases (tap, reloads, etc.) and also let us know when you see your points adjustments start posting to your account.

Scene+ Black Friday and Holiday offers are now available

Scene+ has launched several Black Friday offers and will have more to be revealed during the course of Cyber Week.

The first big promotion provides up to a 40% discount on hotels booked via Scene+ Travel. When you book hotels with Scene+ Travel you will also earn 3 Scene+ points per dollar spent.
The second offer is from Cineplex who are offering 3,500 points for members who purchase a one-year CineClub membership between November 29 and December 2.
The third offer is 200 points for spending $30 or more at Swiss Chalet
Finally there are the Scene+ Grocery offers in place for Sobeys and Safeway that we let you know about yesterday that provides 1,000 bonus points for spending $125 or more.
We should also see a Home Hardware offer launch on December 5 as well
