Here’s your RWRDS Canada update! Your near daily dose of loyalty program, credit card and travel news, bonuses, deals and more.

The Wealthsimple Visa Infinite Card is almost here!

The Wealthsimple Visa Infinite Card is one step closer to being released to the public. On June 11, the Fintech launched a waitlist that anyone can join to be notified when the card will become available for applications. Shout out to RWRDS Canada community member George for the heads up!

The card has been in beta testing for over a year now (Our first mention of the card was in May 2024) for a select few Wealthsimple clients. It underwent some changes in December 2024 where the monthly spending caps were removed and they added a big benefit, No FX Fees!

From the waitlist landing page, it appears the card as it is known from the December change will be the public offering and here is a reminder of what it provides

  • 2% unlimited cash back on all eligible purchases
  • No Foreign Transaction Fees
  • No annual fee if you hold $100,000+ in Wealthsimple (Premium Client or higher) otherwise a $10 monthly fee
  • Metal card for Premium or higher clients
  • Purchase Security, Extended Warranty and Mobile Device Insurance

We’ll leave it at that for now and then have full coverage of the card once it moves out of waitlist status!
