New Amex Offers provide statement credits for KLM and EVA Air purchases
Two excellent flight promos were added today into the Amex Offers program from EVA Air and KLM:
EVA Air
Spend at least $1,100 in qualifying flight purchases using your registered Card at www.evaair.com or on the EVA Air mobile application by 14/10/2025 and earn a one-time $165 statement credit. Registration cap applies. Terms apply.KLM
Spend at least $1,000 in qualifying flight purchases using your registered Card at www.klm.ca or on the KLM mobile application by 24/08/2025 and earn a one-time $100 statement credit. Registration cap applies. Terms apply.
Simply log in to your Amex account or go onto the Amex app to see if these offers have been sent to you and to register for them. You can find this and many more offers in our Guide to American Express Canada ‘Amex Offers’
Personally I received the EVA Air offer on the American Express Cobalt Card but you may receive it on a different card. I did not receive the KLM offer which is a bit surprising as KLM serves Calgary whereas EVA Air does not – if you want an offer to be successful would you not target users with ones they would be more likely to use?
Both of these are also available to holders of Scotiabank American Express Cards who simply need to register for the offer here.

Did you know? The Scene+ program does have outsized value!
I frequently see articles, forum posts and other mentions of the program lacking outsized value or they wish the program has outsized value redemption options but the people writing those posts or articles are only looking the redemption rate. But the fact is the the Scene+ program with its credit cards does provide outsized value when compared to most programs.
The outsized value in Scene+ is built into the earn rates of the program rather than on the redemption side like many other programs. Despite only having a 1 cent per point redemption rate, the earn rates of up to 6 points per dollar spent on the credit cards like the Scotiabank Gold American Express Card get you up to a 6% return.
Compare this to RBC Avion cards which max out at a 2.91% return unless converting to an airline partner and still you would need to push nearly a 5 cent per point redemption with those programs to match the up to 6%. Even a card like the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card would have a tough time getting up to a 6% return for most people as they would need a 4 cent per point redemption and the list goes on.
Of course the one notable exception is the American Express Cobalt Card as it has outsized value on both sides of the equation which is what makes it the best rewards card in Canada.
