Wealthsimple Visa Infinite Card now features No FX Fees and no spending caps
Back in May we detailed the new Wealthsimple Visa Infinite Card which was being beta tested and only available to select Wealthsimple clients. The card continues to be in “test mode” and only select clients are being invited to apply for the card which is expected to be available to the public sometime early in 2025.
In the meantime with all the testing, Wealthsimple is operating similar to Neo Financial in that they are tweaking the card offering before it is launched publicly. The latest changes to the card see it now featuring No Foreign Transaction fees and the removal of the monthly spending caps!
This is a great move on Wealthsimple’s part as the No FX Fee market has dwindled over the past year (the loss of the HSBC World Elite Mastercard and Brim starting to charge FX fees just to name a few of the losses) so to have a new premium card entrant into the mix of No FX cards is very welcome!
And unlimited 2% cash back on all purchases? What’s not to like about that!
Overall, the card will be ideal for everyday spending outside of Canada to save that 2.5% FX fee most issuers charge but outside of that is not an ideal travel card (that is, for booking travel) as it lacks any travel insurance coverage.

Earn bonus AIR MILES for booking Hawaii travel
One thing I like about the revamped AIR MILES program are their partnerships with various tourism boards to offer bonus miles for travelling to that tourism board’s region (The tourism boards most likely help fund those bonuses!). The latest such offers are from the beautiful state of Hawaii and right now AIR MILES Collectors can earn bonus miles for Hawaii flights, hotels and car rentals that are booked via AIR MILES Travel.
