Credit Card Review: Neo World Elite Mastercard

More Rewards set to launch new Visa credit cards with RBC
More Rewards will be launching two new Visa Cards with RBC in the near future! They will have the More Rewards Visa and Visa Infinite and what is noteworthy is that both will be no fee cards! This appears to be one part of the previously announced partnership between More Rewards and Avion Rewards (read more here)
“Upon launch of this powerful partnership, Canadians shopping at participating Pattison Food Group locations, including Save-On-Foods, will receive unique and compelling savings on grocery and everyday purchases, value and wide-ranging benefits from both loyalty programs, Avion Rewards and More Rewards.”
I learned of these new cards on RFD this morning and a quick Google search revealed the insurance coverage and product summary for the cards – so we can say with 100% certainty these cards are happening!
What is interesting, based on the RFD post it looks like RBC and/or Visa may want to take on the few World and World Elite Mastercards that you can get with no fee. To the best of my knowledge this will be the first no annual fee Visa Infinite Card (correct me if I am wrong!) But of course with no annual fees it won’t offer as many benefits – the insurance certificate for the Visa Infinite card shows it will only have purchase security, extended warranty and mobile device insurance. It will not have any travel insurance coverage – which is odd considering More Rewards Travel plays a big part in the program
There is no information yet about the earn rates but some of you may remember back in 2016 More Rewards launched a card with Scotia (Click here to reminisce about that card) and during it’s short lifespan it was the best No annual fee travel rewards credit card in Canada providing returns over 2.5%! Given this card is launching with RBC I have my reservations about it being as good of card as the last one but we’ll just have to wait and see!
