Giant Tiger stops accepting Amex in-store
An American Express Cobalt Card favourite is gone! Many Cobalt cardmembers love shopping at Giant Tiger, not only for the low prices but for earning 5x points on their card. As pointed out by David in the RWRDS Canada Facebook Group, Giant Tiger has stopped accepting American Express for in-store purchases. The retailer will continue to accept Amex for online orders (let us know if online counts as 5x points!)
We’ll update the American Express Cobalt Card confirmed multipliers list accordingly in the coming days.

Reminder to load your weekly shopping offers
Speaking of groceries et al, it’s Thursday! So you know what that means! Time to load all your personalized offers.
I really don’t get Scene+’s targeting and/or personalization – my overall spend offers are for stores I never shop at and will not go out of my way to do so.
I do like how More Rewards for Save On Foods has their overall spend bonus based on cumulative spend so you can spread the purchases out. I also like their progress tracker bar for the overall spend bonus!
And AIR MILES Receipts continues to expand products you can earn bonus miles on with the addition of products like ice cream, laundry detergent and guacamole this week.
