RWRDS Daily Update – August 16, 2024: Coast Hotels adds Weyburn location & earn up to 250 bonus AIR MILES on back to school shopping

Coast Hotels adds new location in Weyburn, Saskatchewan

Coast Hotels continues their rapid growth strategy with the addition of the Coast Weyburn Hotel. This is the third new hotel in three months as recently they purchased the Hilton Seattle and rebranded it the Coast Hotel Seattle followed by adding the Coast Courtenay Hotel in B.C. last month.

“Conveniently located near the heart of Weyburn, the hotel offers easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and businesses. An ideal base for exploring the area or for business travelers needing proximity to downtown, Coast Weyburn Hotel features a variety of 67 comfortable, air-conditioned rooms.”

The Coast Weyburn Hotel is a re-branding of the Canalta Hotel Weyburn that has been a staple in this southern Saskatchewan town. This means a shift in loyalty programs for this location from Canalta Rewards to Coast Rewards with which you can choose to earn Coast Rewards Points, Air Canada Aeroplan Points, Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles or More Rewards points on stays!

Earn up to 250 bonus miles with AIR MILES Shops

AIR MILES has a new bonus for back to school shopping completed via their online portal AIR MILES Shops. Right now collectors can earn up to 250 bonus miles for purchases made by September 2:

50 Bonus Miles when you shop 1 store, or
125 Bonus Miles when you shop 2 stores, or
250 Bonus Miles when you shop 3 stores.

This bonus can earned over and above individual online merchant offers, the monthly mulitple AIR MILES partner bonuses and so forth! Not only that but you can also earn the merchant’s loyalty rewards if they have a program, such as Sephora’s Beauty Insider. You’ll also earn the points, miles, or cash back on your credit card for the purchase plus if you are shopping at a place like lululemon you can stack the Amex Offers and Avion Select statement credit/cash back offers.
