Air Transat adds new flights to Rio de Janeiro from Montreal & Toronto

Air Transat will be launching flights to Rio de Janeiro Brazil in February 2026 (Just in time for Carnival!) The flights will operate once per week out of Montreal and twice per week from Toronto.

These flights can be booked direct with Transat and are also available for bookings (including mileage redemption) via AIR MILES. They don’t show up yet on Porter Airlines site for booking but hopefully they will be added so that VIPorter members will have the opportunity to redeem points for the se flights as well.

How to save 15% on Pan Pacific stays in Canada and all other GHA stays worldwide!

GHA DISCOVERY has brought back their excellent offer for buying DISCOVERY Dollars (D$). Through September 1st you can receive a 15% discount when buying the D$. With one D$ worth one US$ towards your hotel stay you effectively getting yourself a 15% discount towards the portion of your bill you use the D$ for! (This is the model WestJet needs to adopt for their buy points offers!)

 

The only caveat with this promotion is that D$ that are purchased are only valid for 24 months so I would only buy them if you know you will be using them for stays at any of the over 850 GHA locations worldwide including the 4 Pan Pacific locations here in Canada within that time period.
