15% bonus on transfers from RBC Avion Rewards to American AAdvantage
Like clockwork we see RBC bring back a 15% bonus for points transfers to American AAdvantage for August. Avion Elite members (Those that have Avion branded credit cards) can receive this bonus on points transferred during this month. Some cardholders may find this a worthwhile bonus for award flights on American Airlines and many of their partner airlines.
The bonus is awarded on transfers of 5,000 or more points which will provide 8.05 AAdvantage miles for every 10 points (standard conversion ratio is 1 to 0.7 so you are getting 0.805 miles per Avion Point) and is available until Aug 31, 25.
This can be an ideal promotion to take advantage of with the welcome bonus points offered on RBC Avion cards but do your homework first since you have other transfer options like British Airways Club (at 1:1) which can also be used on oneworld flights including American Airlines.
It should also be noted that when it comes to everyday spending if you have the American Express Cobalt Card and earn most of your points in the 5x points category you can be better off converting them to American AAdvantage via Marriott Bonvoy. Those conversions work out to 2.5 miles per dollar spent compared to the 0.805 you get with the RBC transfer bonus..

Porter adds new flights from Hamilton to Florida
Porter Airlines are further strengthening their position in Hamilton with new service this winter to Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. The winter seasonal flights will launch this December utilizing their Embraer E195-E2 aircraft.
