Guide to Canadian Credit Card Car Rental Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) Insurance

Our longstanding guide to car rental Insurance provided on Canadian credit cards has been updated to include all the new credit cards that have come to market over the past six or so months. These include the Neo World & World Elite Mastercard, BMO VIPorter Mastercard and World Elite Mastercard as well as the Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Privilege Card.

The guide provides details on what to expect from CDW coverage from cards, what to look out for when renting cars with cards that offer this insurance and the coverage provided by each card.

AIR MILES Flash Offer to earn up to 5,000 miles with Ashley

A big Flash Offer from AIR MILES this week sees them offering 5x Miles when you shop at select Ashley store locations and spend $2,500+ using a linked Mastercard credit card. This offer is available from APRIL 25-27 ONLY! and requires prior opt-in on the AIR MILES website or app.

The standard card linked offer is 700 Bonus Miles when you spend $2,500+ or 1,000 Bonus Miles when you spend $3,000+. So multiply those by 5 and you should be able to get 3,500 or 5,000 bonus miles. In terms of Cash Miles your are looking at $367.50 or $525 in value respectively!
