TD Aeroplan Cards

TD Aeroplan Visa cards now have an accelerated earn rate for Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging

In addition to numerous change on other TD credit cards, the bank has introduced one additional accelerated earn rate category to its suite of Aeroplan co-brand credits. As of today all of the TD Aeroplan cards will earn additional points for Electric Vehicle (EV) charging.

The new EV Charging earn rates

50,000 bonus Aeroplan points

Both the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card and the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege Card now have a dedicated earn rate of 1.5 points per $1 spent on eligible Electric Vehicle (EV) charging purchases. This is up from the previous 1 point per dollar. The accelerated earn rate on EV charging does fall into the Visa Infinite’s overall combined annual cap of $80,000 in spending for 1.5x points and $100,000 on the Infinite Privilege.

 

The TD Aeroplan Visa Platinum Card now has a dedicated earn rate of 1 point per $1 spent on eligible Electric Vehicle (EV) charging purchases. This is up from the previous 1 point per $1.50 spent. The accelerated earn rate on EV charging falls into the Visa Platinum’s overall combined annual cap of $80,000 in spending for 1 point per dollar categories.

Changes to interest rates & fees

Like other TD cars, these cards also saw changes to the rates and fees levied. The purchase interest rate and cash advance rates are now 21.99% (up from 20.99% – most banks seem to be going to 21.99% now) They have also increased the fee on balance transfers from 3% to up to 5% and credit balances if not used within 12 months will be subject to a $10 fee.
