Rewards Canada values Marriott Bonvoy points at a minimum of 1 cent each and that really is a minimum as some of our more recent searches for Marriott reward nights was seeing values of 1.4 to 1.9 cents or more. With the minimum 1 cent valuation this 130,000 point bonus is worth $1,300. Bottom line net value is $1,000 after subtracting the $150 annual fee twice as the entire bonus requires holding onto to the card for the second year (this card is a keeper card so no matter what you’ll want to keep paying that annual fee!)
This offer is now the third best small business card welcome bonus in Canada in terms of that bottom line value – and that doesn’t even include all the extra benefits this card provides like the annual free night and more!
Consider this card even if you can’t spend $30,000
This card should be considered even if you don’t think you can have $30,000 in spending in the first year. If $30,000 in spending over a year is a stretch for you don’t let that stop you from getting the card as you can easily get 90,000 Marriott Bonvoy points which is 30,000 more points than the standard offer on this card and still represents some big time value! (75,000 for $6,000 spend + 15,000 for one purchase in months 15-17)
