Consider these cards even if you can’t do the 12 month spend
These cards should be considered even if you don’t think you can meet the $20,000 to $90,000 in spending required in the first year. If those amounts of spending over a year are a stretch for you don’t let that stop you from getting these card as you the first and third parts of the welcome bonuses aren’t that hard to meet (Especially on the consumer Gold Rewards Card) and the months 15-17 bonus literally takes a $1 purchase. Put those together and you have a higher welcome bonus on these than was seen before the launch of this summer promotion!
The value in the welcome bonus offers
Rewards Canada values Membership Rewards points at a minimum of 1 cent each as that’s what you can get for redeeming for any travel at anytime or for cash back statement credits with any of the above cards. Use the points via Amex’s Fixed Points for Travel and you can get up to 2 cents per point or convert them airline and hotels like Air Canada Aeroplan or Marriott Bonvoy to extract even more value!
