Utilizing Aeroplan Points
There are many ways that Aeroplan Points can be utilized with the most popular being for flights on Air Canada, Star Alliance airlines and their niche partner airlines like Emirates. They can also be redeemed for hotel stays, car rentals, gift cards, Starbucks Stars, merchandise and more.
For flight redemptions, the awards can start as low as only 6,000 Aeroplan points one way for shorter haul flights like Toronto to Montreal. And there are no black outs or availability issues when it comes to booking flights on Air Canada. If a seat is available for purchase with cash, you can redeem points for it. The price in points is dynamic and will vary based on the cash price of the ticket.
They also have some great business class options where you can fly to Europe in business class for 60,000 miles one way with their partner airlines or even 55,000 miles for business class to Asia.
