With one D$ worth one US$ towards your hotel stay you are effectively getting yourself a 15% discount towards the portion of your bill you use the D$ for! (This is the model WestJet needs to adopt for their buy points offers!)

 

 

The only caveat with this promotion is that D$ that are purchased are only valid for 24 months so I would only buy them if you know you will be using them for stays at any of the over 850 GHA locations worldwide including the 4 Pan Pacific locations here in Canada within that time period.
