Marriott Canada has returned to the RBC Offers and Avion Select programs. Holders of RBC Avion and other Avion points earning credit cards as well as Avion Select members can earn bonus points on their Marriott stays in Canada.

These offers are not available on RBC’s non Avion Rewards cards such as the WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard. Keep in mind you can also earn any bonuses that Marriott is offering at the time, which we list for your convenience at the bottom of the post.

Avion Elite & Premium Offers:

There are two offers available to those who hold actual RBC Avion or ION cards. These come to us via BuyCar on RFD. The first offer is for Avion cardholders and the second one is for ION or other grandfathered Avion Rewards points earning cardholders:

Avion Select Offer:

This is the portion of the Avion Rewards program that is open to all Canadians, not just RBC clients. Here is the offer as I found it in my Avion Select account:

 

2,000 Avion points (“Offer”) earned on a single purchase of at least $500 made in-store or online at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy™ in Canada with an eligible debit or credit card that has enrolled in “card linking” through Avion Rewards (“connected card”)(“Qualifying Purchase”). Avion points will be deposited into the Avion Rewards account tied to the connected card. For more information on “card linking” please see http://www.avionrewards.com/cardlinking. Offer is Earned on the final price of your Qualifying Purchase including tax. Limit 2 Offer per Avion Rewards member. Offer is valid for a limited time while supplies last or until April 30, 2024.

This is excellent as this means any one who has the Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express® Card and/or the Marriott Bonvoy™ Business American Express® Card can link their cards, pay for their stays with these Amex cards so they earn 5 Bonvoy points per dollar spent and also earn these 2,000 Avion points.
