A really good new AIR MILES Card Linked offer came out today that should appeal to a lot of our readers as it is for Porter Airlines!
Collectors who have linked any Canadian Mastercard to their AIR MILES account (see instructions below on how to link) can earn bonus AIR MILES when booking flights directly with Porter Airlines.
The 125 bonus miles offer:
Earn 125 bonus AIR MILES when you spend $300 or more on a linked Mastercard with Porter Airlines online at https://www.flyporter.com/en-ca/ by September 30, 2024 (or while the quantity of bonus AIR MILES lasts) for travel completed by February 25, 2025. Each collector can earn the bonus up to three times.
On top of the AIR MILES bonus miles you will still be able to earn Porter Airlines VIPorter points and whatever loyalty currency your Mastercard earns. This is where we’d normally trumpet the HSBC World Elite Mastercard with its travel accelerator but sadly that card is no longer around! That being said, there are other Mastercards with travel accelerators or decent earn rates that you can use to maximum your return on these purchases:
- BMO Ascend World Elite Mastercard – 5 points per dollar spend (3.33% return)
- Rogers World Elite Mastercard – Up to 3% cash back for Rogers Customers / 1.5% for non Rogers customers
What about the 8 points per dollar (4%) from the ATB World Elite Mastercard? We are not 100% sure if cardholders would earn that accelerated rate as they don’t list Porter in their list of eligible airlines.
Card Linked Offers
If you are unfamiliar with AIR MILES card linked offers, it is a method for you to earn extra miles at stores by simply linking any Canadian Mastercard to your AIR MILES account. It’s not just limited to AIR MILES Mastercards which are linked automatically and you don’t even have to show your AIR MILES card. Have a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard or a Neo Credit card? You can link them and earn whatever bonus AIR MILES may be offering when you use that linked card for your purchase.
That being said, it is limited to those who hold or use a Mastercard card. They are not available to members who prefer to use Visa, American Express, Debit or Cash for their purchases
