Next up in the fly lots get a lot of miles or points challenges is Turkish Airlines who are offering 1 Million Miles to all members who fly to six continents with the airline.
JULY 8 UPDATE: Turkish Airlines have closed this promotion early! It appears it may have proved more popular than they thought and have now pulled the plug on it – well for anyone who has not booked or flown any flights yet that is:
Members who purchased at least one ticket or completed a flight across six continents by July 8, 2025 will retain their eligibility. If these members complete their all flights across six continents by October 27, 2025, they will be earned 1 Million Miles.
Tickets purchased after July 8, 2025 will not be considered within the scope of the campaign.

The latest in this trend of big gamified offers which was kicked off by SAS late last year and then Etihad, Ethiopian and JetBlue reminds of some the big offers we used to see back in the mid 2000s! It’s great to see airlines get back into this game of encouraging more travel, even it is just for the social media limelight (for the airline and the YouTubers/Influencers jumping on the offers)
Turkish’s offer follows SAS and JetBlue more closely as the final reward is given to all members who complete the challenge – not a select few like we see in Etihad and Ethiopian’s offers.
Running through to October 27, 2025, all Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles members who book and fly to six continents (meeting the eligible flight requirements) will earn 1 Million Miles&Smiles miles.
The six continents are classified as Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa and Oceania (You can see the eligible countries in the table below) and the arrival destination on your reservation is what counts towards putting that check mark beside each continent. For example if you fly Toronto-Istanbul-Tokyo, that would get you Asia. The return (if you fly the same route as part of a round trip or a separate one way) Tokyo-Istanbul-Toronto would get you North America.
Here in Canada Turkish Airlines flies out Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver – so this promotion is readily accessible to a lot of Canadians who may want to take up the challenge!
It’s a pretty straight forward promotion and one that can be very lucrative as 1 Million Miles&Smiles miles are no laughing matter – that’s a lot miles that can get you a lot of business class award flights on Turkish Airlines and their Star Alliance partners.

Here are some key terms to the promotion:
- Eligible flights must either originate from or transit through Türkiye, and must be registered to your Miles&Smiles account before travel.

You can travel one-way, round-trip, or with multi-city itineraries.
Only arrival destinations count toward completing the required continents.
Examples:
- New York–Istanbul–Tokyo counts only as Asia.
- New York–Istanbul–Tokyo–Istanbul–New York counts as both Asia and North America.
- New York–Istanbul–Tokyo–Istanbul–Cape Town completes Asia and Africa.
- Flights with final arrival points in Türkiye or the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus do not count toward campaign completion.
- Flights must depart from or transfer through Istanbul. For example, direct flights like Singapore–Melbourne or São Paulo–Buenos Aires are not eligible
- The campaign applies only to scheduled flights operated by Turkish Airlines. Codeshare flights are not eligible, even if booked with a Turkish Airlines flight number.
