Air Canada Aeroplan’s latest buy points promotion provides members with the opportunity to receive up to a 85% bonus when buying points by September 24, 2025. I’m not sure if this time it is a mystery bonus like the last few offers – do please let me know in the comments if you receive a different offer!
The up to 85% bonus offer:
Receive up to a 85% bonus when you buy 4,000 or more Aeroplan points. Offer valid to September 24, 25. Click here to buy points.
- Between 4,000 and 29,000 Aeroplan points will earn 40% bonus Aeroplan points
- Between 30,000 and 60,000 Aeroplan points will earn 60% Bonus Points; and
- 70,000 or more Aeroplan points will earn 85% Bonus Points
Does it make sense to buy points?
When you buy points with a 95% bonus your cost on each point is 2.03 cents (C$) each before taxes which puts the actual cost at 2.13 cents per point or higher depending on which province you live in.
We value Aeroplan points at a minimum of 1.5 cents each but the program does provide the ability to get more than that. If you find the right award flights at the right time and are able to redeem at 2.25 cents per point or more, absolutely, it does make sense to buy points with this promotion!

Wrapping it up
The up to 85% bonus for buying Air Canada Aeroplan points is an OK offer for buying Aeroplan points but it is on the lower end of offers. The last bonus was up to 95% and of course we’ve seen offers with 100% or more. If you have an upcoming redemption where you will get more than 2.25 cents per point in value then by all means buy the points with this offer to give yourself a discount on you travels but otherwise wait until the next promotion as there’s a good chance it will be better.
