AIR MILES will be offering some big bonuses for booking paid travel via AIR MILES Travel with a Flash Offer next week. From Aug 2 to 4 collectors will be able to earn up to 2,500 bonus miles when booking and paying for travel with a credit card. By paid travel it means the bonus is not available on Dream Miles redemptions used towards bookings.
The up to 2,500 bonus miles offer:
AIR MILES Collectors who opt in for this offer, book travel that is completed by January 31, 2025 and pay for it with any credit card will earn bonus miles as follows:
- Get 100 Bonus Miles when you spend $100 with AIR MILES® Travel.*
- Get 1,000 Bonus Miles when you spend $500 with AIR MILES® Travel.*
- Get 2,500 Bonus Miles when you spend $750 + with AIR MILES® Travel.*
Those are some big bonuses! Whether you are booking flights, hotels, car rentals, etc. the return on spend from the bonuses is impressive. Based on a Cash Miles redemption value of 10.5 cents per miles your return on spend (not including the base milese earned) will be $10.50 for $100 to $499 spend, $105.00 for $500 to $749 spend and $262.50 for $750+ spend.
Opt in to earn the bonus
Like most bonus offers from AIR MILES you must opt in to this offer prior to your purchase to earn the extra miles. The opt in is already available so you go to your AIR MILES account online or via the app to do so.
Standard Earn Rates
In addition to the bonus miles that you can earn above you’ll also receive the base AIR MILES on your standalone bookings as follows:
- Onyx Collectors – 1 Reward Mile for every $5 spent
- Gold Collectors – 1 Reward Mile for every $10 spent
- Blue Collectors – 1 Reward Mile for every $15 spent
If you book bundled travel (Flight+Hotel, Flight+Car etc.) the above base mile earn rates are multiplied as follows:
- Onyx Collectors – 5x the Miles on bundled bookings
- Gold Collectors – 4x the Miles on bundled bookings
- Blue Collectors – 3x the Miles on bundled bookings
The earning doesn’t stop there as those collectors paying with a BMO AIR MILES®† MasterCard®* or a BMO AIR MILES®† World Elite®* MasterCard®* will earn 3x miles on AIR MILES Travel Purchases. That translates to 3 Miles per $12 spent on the World Elite card and 3 Miles per $25 spend on the no fee AIR MILES card.
Wrapping it up
Another week another big earning opportunity from AIR MILES. For those of you who are open to booking through AIR MILES Travel (Some like to book direct with providers, namely hotels for hotel loyalty program benefits) I would try to hold off on booking any of your travel needs until August 2!
I also want to commend AIR MILES for providing ample notice of this offer and the vast majority of their past and present promotions. It allows for collectors to plan their purchases or redemptions accordingly!
