Air Canada has announced a new four times per week direct non-stop flight from Vancouver to Singapore. The new route will operate year round launching on April 3, 2024
New Singapore flight
The Singapore flight will be Air Canada’s second non-stop service to southeast Asia after launching seasonal service to Bangkok in late 2022. The route which launches on April 4, 2023 will operate 4x weekly year round on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner with three classes of service and are already available for purchase from Air Canada.

The flights are timed to provide excellent connections with Star Alliance partner Singapore Airlines to Southeast Asia, Southern India and Western Australia.
The flight falls into Aeroplan’s 7,501 – 11,000 distance band for award flights from North America across the Pacific which sees most one way Economy class rewards fall in between 50,000 – 90,000 points, Premium Economy 70,000 – 160,000 and Business 85,000 – 200,000 points:

Air Canada is continuing to expand its international presence and now it makes sense as to why Singapore Airlines is cutting their Singapore to Vancouver service after only a short return from 2021 to October of this year. At the moment, the Aeroplan redemption rates are quite high but that can be expected as the route just went on sale and is not being discounted at this time. It will be one to watch however once prices are adjusted to meet demand to see if some good redemption options come from it so that you can use your points to visit the popular southeast Asian destination
