Hot on the heels of their devaluation notice last week, Hyatt Gold Passport are
adding two new features to the program and also changing their points
expiry rule. The two new features are Discounted room rates for elite
members (essentially a 20% discount off the daily rate that is refundable), Cash and Point Awards (Half price points for an award stay
plus a fixed dollar amount depending on the category, this does
represent an really good value for Categories 2-6 according to Gary Leff.
These stays will count towards Elite Status) and finally they are
extending their point expiry rule from 12 months of inactivity to 24
months.
