Donations to the Canadian Red Cross count towards Aeroplan Everyday Qualification (EDQ)
Rewards Canada reader Robert posed a great question to us this week in regards to the current Aeroplan bonus points promotion for donations made to the Canadian Red Cross:
“If I donate $1,000 to Red Cross, would the 20,000 Aeroplan points I receive be EDQ eligible”
I reached out to Aeroplan for clarification and while promotional points like this typically don’t count towards Everyday Qualifying, Aeroplan has made an exception just for this great cause and have made them EDQ eligible!
If you have not seen this offer yet, you earn 100 Aeroplan points for every $5 you donate and it is available until October 10, 2025
This means you could donate $5,000, earn 100K EDQ and get yourself Aeroplan 25K status

Earn 3x Honors points on your next Hilton stay
We have an anomaly in the world of bonus points promotions! Hilton have typically been the most consistent with systemwide global promotions however after their last promotion ended on August 15th there has been nothing from them and no word of anything coming soon.
They have now however sent out targeted offers to members to earn 3x points on the next stay made with Hilton until December 31. Check your email to see if you are targeted, for reference I received the offer on September 16 (how can you tell I’m just catching up on my over stuffed in box!)
