Air Canada expands Goodwill Policy for Customers to Exceptionally Include Accommodation and Out-of-Pocket Costs
Air Canada wants to make good with its customers and the Canadian public with an expanded policy for reimbursing travellers who incurred extra expenses due to the flight attendant’s strike earlier this week. The policy initially covered flight costs incurred by travellers and has now been expanded to include accommodations, meals, ground transportation and more
- Customers who experienced cancellations and delays between August 15–23 and incurred reasonable expenses for hotel stays, meals, ground transportation, or other costs are eligible for reimbursement for their travelling party.
- Claims must be supported with receipts and submitted through the airline’s customer relations portal.
- Air Canada will work to address claims as quickly as possible, however due to the anticipated volume it may require up to four to six weeks.

ZIPAIR is increasing Vancouver to Tokyo flights
Japanese low cost carrier ZIPAIR will be increasing their Vancouver to Tokyo flights from 3x weekly to 5x weekly for the upcoming winter season. Here is the updated scheduled per Aeroroutes:
Tokyo Narita – Vancouver 26OCT25 – 04JAN26 Increase from 3 to 5 weekly, 787-8 (except 03NOV25 – 12NOV25)

When it comes to redeeming points on ZIPAIR you best option is to utilize a card with any travel anytime rewards like the American Express Cobalt Card, Scotiabank Gold American Express Card or TD First Class Visa Infinite Card.
