Kenya Airways has a new paid status match opportunity that is open to Canadians and includes Air Canada and WestJet as airlines that you can match your status from. There over 40 additional airlines, 20+ hotel programs and even credit cards that you can use to generate the status match if you don’t have Air Canada or WestJet status!
Much like the Vietnam Airlines status match opportunity we brought you this past June that is still available, this is a excellent opportunity to get SkyTeam status that you can then use for travel on the SkyTeam airlines that do fly to Canada such as Air France, Delta Airlines, KLM, Korean Air, Virgin Atlantic* and others! Kenya Airways Status Match Details
This Kenya Airways paid status match opportunity allows elite members of 45+ non-SkyTeam airline programs, 20+ Hotel Programs and even holders of premium credit cards to receive Kenya Airways Asante Rewards Silver, Gold or Platinum Elite Status for twelve months.
That’s right if you have a Visa Infinite, Visa Infinite Privilege, World Mastercard, World Elite Mastercard or the Platinum Card from American Express and no elite status from airlines or hotels (Well, the Platinum does give you hotel status) you can partake in this match to get Kenya Airways Asante Rewards Silver Elite Status which will give you the first level of SkyTeam Elite status.
So if you are someone who has Marriott Bonvoy and Hilton Honors Gold Elite status from The Platinum Card from American Express you can use that to purchase your way to the second level of SkyTeam elite status (Elite Plus) by getting Kenya Airways Gold Elite status! Same goes if you have the status with any of the hotel programs from actually staying with those chains.
Or you can go for Kenya Airways Platinum Status if you hold Air Canada Aeroplan 75K or higher status or are WestJet Rewards Platinum tier status member. As the status match fee is the same for Gold or Platinum you might as well go for Platinum!
This status match does not have any flight requirements or any spend requirements outside of the application fee and gives you full elite status for a complete 12 months from date your match is approved.
