AIR MILES Shop the Block clarification – you can knock out 2 partners with one shop when earning and redeeming!
A question was asked over on the Rewards Canada Facebook page about AIR MILES’ Shop the Block promotion in regards to Shell and the Shop the Block partner options of earning and redeeming:
“If I use 95 air miles at Shell towards an in store purchase, if I purchase gas will that count as a partner offer?“
I reached out to AIR MILES for clarification with the following
“Does a single transaction at Shell that earns miles but also has cash miles redeemed for $10 off count as two partners since it’s an in-store partner purchase and a redemption partner?
And this is the good news they responded with:
“this in fact would count as two partners”
So if you haven’t checked Shell off your list yet for the Shop the Block promotion keep this in mind as you’ll be able to get two partners with just one transaction (it only takes two partners to get 100 bonus miles!) This should also apply to other retailers where you can earn and burn in the same transaction like Pharmsave.

WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard holders can earn extra points on eStore purchases
If you have the WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard you can earn an additional 1.5 points per dollar spent on purchases made via the WestJet eStore. This additional earn is over and above the standard card earn rates and the eStore earn rates for each individual retailer.
For example if you are shopping at Apple via the sStore you will earn 3 points per dollar spent (the eStore points), the standard credit card earn rate of 1.5 points per dollar and then the additional bonus 1.5 points per dollar for a total of 6 points per dollar.
This offer is valid until July 31, 2025
