Marriott Bonvoy members can earn bonus points at the highly regarded Oscar Wilde themed Dorian Hotel and it’s sibling in the same building Courtyard Hotel until the middle of March. In 2024 the Dorian Hotel was awarded a Michelin Key for being one of the best hotels in Canada and it is the only hotel in Calgary to have one!
The 4,000 bonus Bonvoy Points offer:
Earn 4,000 bonus Bonvoy points for stays of 2 or more nights at The Dorian, An Autograph Collection Calgary or the Courtyard Calgary Downtown. Book now for stays until Mar 15, 25 Click here to book this offer directly with Marriott
NOTE: With individual hotel bonuses it is recommended to take a screenshot of the offer and your reservation showing the rate to chase after the hotel if the points don’t post automatically (Which tends to happen quite often with these offers) You’ll also find screenshot of the offers at the bottom of the post should you forget to take screenshots yourself.
Note: We have confirmed with The Dorian/Courtyard this offer is 4,000 bonus points for 2 or more nights and not the per night bonus you see in the rate details (see the examples below).
You’ll also be able stack this offer (if your stay coincides) with the upcoming Marriott Bonvoy global systemwide bonus offer of 1,000 bonus points per night and double elite night credits between Feb 13 and Apr 19. This offer has not been released yet nor can you register for it yet but details have been leaked.
And to earn even more points you’ll want to make sure you pay for your stay with the Marriott Bonvoy™ American Express®* Card or the Marriott Bonvoy™ Business American Express® Card as these cards earn 5 points per dollar spent on Marriott stays!
4,000 bonus points offer stay example:
Here is an example of a 2 night stay from Feb 23 to 25 at The Dorian:
and a 2 night stay at the Courtyard on the same nights:
As you can see from the example the bonus points rate prices higher than the best member flexible rate. If you only stay two nights you’ll earn the 4,000 bonus points which we value at a minimum of C$40 and at The Dorian you are paying $35 more than the member rate to get those points. While at the Courtyard in our example you are paying $36 more to get the points. So you should come out ahead with the bonus points especially if you extract more than 1 cent per point in value when redeeming them.
Another way to look it is that you are buying 4,000 points for $35 or $36 or roughly .88 cents each – compare this to paying around 1.25 cents per point to buy them directly from Marriott when they have a bonus or discount offer.
All that being said the bonus points rate is a good deal but as you can see in the above examples the AAA/CAA Hot Deals rate prices $116 less at Dorian than the bonus points rate and $105 less at the Courtyard! I would recommend booking the bonus points rate if you don’t have an AAA/CAA membership or if your employer pays for your stays 😉 but otherwise go for the CAA rate!
Don’t forget that you can get CAA Everyday memberships for as little as $30/year to unlock these discounts. Learn more in our Guide to CAA Everyday Memberships
