Aeroplan eStore’s annual 12 Days of Gifting started
today. For the next 12 days there will be a bonus of up to 10x points
each day with a different retailer. Today, December 2 it is Indigo and

Loyaltylobby has reported (and confirmed) that the Westin Grand Vancover will be leaving Marriott behind in 2021 as it will be rebranded as the Hilton Vancouver Downtown.
As John at LL states it is surprising that Marriott is allowing
bookings well past the anticipated swtich over sometime in the first
quarter of 2021. I know the Westin Grand is quite a popular hotel for
our readers so you may want to keep this in mind if you are planning on
staying here. If you have reservations already that are to be paid in
cash (well by credit card) or prepaid reservations those should be
honored even after the hotel switches hands. However stays booked on
points or certificates may present a whole ‘nother story as those stays
may end up being cancelled as I believe Hilton has no way in receiving
‘payment’ from Marriott Bonvoy for those. If you do have a points or
certificate booking I would contact the hotel directly to see what
avenue you need to take with your reservation should it happen to come
after the hotel switches to a Hilton.
