Now open: Revery Toronto Downtown, Curio Collection by Hilton

The Revery Toronto Downtown, Curio Collection by Hilton is the newest Hilton Hotel to open in Canada. Located in Toronto’s entertainment district, the hotel with 224 rooms officially welcomed its first guests on June 4, 2024. The hotel is not a new build however as it was previously the Hilton Garden Inn and has undergone a complete renovation.

The Hotel:

Situated on Peter Street, the hotel is within walking distance of many of the popular attractions and business in downtown Toronto:

There are numerous room types and suites available and all feature either a single king bed or two queens. There is on site dining at the Deauville Club which is a french inspired restaurant and then there are drinks, cocktails and more available at the Muse Lobby Bar. Other amenities include a fitness center, business center along with several rooms for meetings/conferences (Source Stay Magazine)

A quick look at rates over the next few weeks shows the hotel running from the high $300s to low $500s (all fees and taxes included)

If you are driving there is valet parking available at a cost of $65/day.

Points required for a free night

A standard room reward at the Revery will go for 60,000 Honors points and with room rates in that $300 to $500, using 60,000 points for stay here represents a poor value for your Hilton Honors – only if you are a points value maximizer that is. If you don’t care about the actual point value then by all means redeem your points here and enjoy your free night!

Earning points at the Revery

If you are planning a stay at the Revery or any Hilton Hotel in Canada or worldwide for that matter – remember to take advantage of all the possible Hilton Honors bonus points offers.  At the time of posting this article you can earn 2x points on all stays until Sep 2. You can also buy Hilton Honors points with a 100% bonus until July 23 if you want to redeem points for stays here and happen to be short some points (don’t buy points for the full amount of the stay – it’s not worth it).

Curiously the hotel does not show up for Hilton’s bonus of 1,000 to 5,000 points at their new hotels. I do know in the past it has taken some time for the hotels to be added to this rate and seeing as the hotel just opened it may take a few weeks to have this bonus added (if they add it at all that is.)

Don’t forget that if you have The Platinum Card® from American Express it provides automatic Hilton Honors Gold Elite Status. With Gold status you receive 80% bonus points on stays, space available upgrades and a daily food & beverage credit or Continental Breakfast.
