Air Canada Aeroplan’s latest buy points promotion provides members with the opportunity to receive up to a 30% discount when buying points by October 14, 2025. I’m not sure if this time it is a mystery bonus like the last few offers – do please let me know in the comments if you receive a different offer!
The up to 30% discount offer:
Receive up to a 30% discount when you buy 3,000 or more Aeroplan points. Offer valid to October 4, 25. Click here to buy points.
- Receive a 15% discount on purchases of 3,000 to 14,000 Aeroplan points
- Receive a 20% discount on purchases of 15,000 to 29,000 Aeroplan points
- Receive a 25% discount on purchases of 30,000 to 35,000 Aeroplan points
- Receive a 30% discount on purchases of 40,000 or more Aeroplan points
Does it make sense to buy points?
When you buy points with a 30% discount your cost on each point is 2.65 cents (C$) each before taxes which puts the actual cost at 2.76 cents per point or higher depending on which province you live in.
We value Aeroplan points at a minimum of 1.5 cents each but the program does provide the ability to get more than that. If you find the right award flights at the right time and are able to redeem at 3 cents per point or more it can make sense to buy them.

Wrapping it up
The up to 30% discount for buying Air Canada Aeroplan points is one of the weakest offers for buying Aeroplan points and we cannot recommend buying them during this promotion. I would only buy them if you really need to do so to top off for a valuable award flight or do find a flight with a redemption value of 3 cents per points or more – otherwise wait until the next promotion as there’s a good chance it will be a better offer.
