Coast Hotels has launched their annual Pink Friday sale for stays at over 30 of their locations in Western Canada and the Western U.S. The offer provides 35% off the Coast Flex Rate for stays booked by November 27, 2023 and completed by April 30, 2024. These stays are eligible for earning Coast Rewards Points, Air Canada Aeroplan points, Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles or More Rewards points.

Earning and Redeeming points for Coast Hotels Stays
Members of the Coast Rewards program earn 1 point for every $ spent CAD on stays and elite members earn between 1.1 and 3 points per dollar spent. Members can choose to have the stays credited to Air Canada Aeroplan which will earn 250 to 500 points per stay while Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan is 500 points per stay. Select More Rewards as your earn option and you’ll earn 1 More Rewards point per C$ spent.
Coast Rewards recently changed their redemption structure for stays at their hotels. They have moved away from redeeming for a free night voucher to a points for a $ discount structure. This is similar to programs like ALL Accor Live Limitless and several other hotel chains.
The program now provides a flat $0.04 CAD redemption value per point when redeemed towards Coast Hotels stays. As soon as a member has a minimum 250 points in their account they can redeem that 250 points for a $10 credit towards their hotel bill.
Members can either check the “Pay with Points” box or “enter a custom amount of points” and enter the available amount of Points they wish to apply and redeem. The Member will be responsible for paying any leftover balance when they check out. Any remaining, unused Coast Rewards Points can be applied to a future reservation prior to their expiration.
The great thing about this new redemption method is that you don’t have to wait until you have enough points to redeem for a free night. Now you can redeem them sooner and receive a discount towards your stay or if you do have enough points redeem them for the full charge of your stay and it will be free.
Convert to Aeroplan Points or Mileage Plan Miles
Coast Rewards points can be converted to Aeroplan or Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan at a 1:1 ratio (conversions start at 1,000 points) The program also typically offers a conversion bonus to Aeroplan at least once per year, sometimes more.
