For just over the next month eligible RBC Avion Rewards members will earn a 15% bonus on points transfers from Avion Rewards to WestJet Rewards.

The offer is available for all RBC Avion cardholders (Infinite, Infinite Privilege, Platinum, Business Commercal etc.) and RBC ION cardholders (ION, ION+) and runs until April 28, 2024.
Converting from Avion Rewards to WestJet Rewards
Converting Avion Rewards to WestJet Rewards dollars is easily done online via the Avion Rewards website or you can call RBC to complete it over the phone.
The standard conversion rate is 100 Avion Rewards points to 1 WestJet dollar. With the bonus you’ll receive 1.15 WestJet dollars for every 100 Avion Rewards points transferred. A minimum of 1,000 Avion points must be converted each time.
I know some of our readers have already jumped on the RBC Avion Card offer of up to 55,000 welcome bonus points and have been awaiting this bonus! If you have reached the $5,000 spend required for the full bonus it should mean you have at least 60,000 Avion Rewards points which would work out to 690 WestJet dollars if you transferred them with this bonus.
If you are an RBC ION+ cardholder the 3 points per dollar you have been earning on Grocery, Dining & Food Delivery, Rides, Gas & EV Charging, Streaming, Digital Gaming & Subscriptions is the highest possible earn rate for WestJet dollars from any card. And if you convert those with this bonus it works out 0.0345 WestJet dollars per dollar spent or the equivalent of a 3.45% return. That’s more than double what the WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard earns for those same purchases!

If you don’t have an Avion card yet you still have a chance to take advantage of this transfer bonus as the suite of Avion cards including the RBC Avion Visa Infinite and RBC Avion Visa Platinum Card are all still being offered with welcome bonuses of 55,000 RBC Rewards Points. You’ll earn 35,000 of those points upon approval. This means as soon as you are approved and activate your card those points should post to your account. Transfer those 35,000 points with the bonus and you’ll have yourself 402.50 WestJet dollars.
