IHG opens their newest Canadian hotel in Courtney BC

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Courtenay – Comox is officially open. This marks the second location on Vancouver Island that IHG has added to their roster this year after the conversion and renovation of Holiday Inn Victoria – Elk Lake was completed several months ago.

The newly built Holiday Inn Express & Suites Courtenay – Comox features 93 spacious contemporary rooms, an indoor pool, fitness centre, guest laundry and meeting space. With each stay, guests can enjoy a brand staple – complimentary breakfast with a variety of fresh, hot items to choose from. Located just northeast of downtown Courtenay, the hotel provides easy access to the Comox Valley Airport and Canadian Forces Base.

The third new hotel in B.C. that IHG has planned, the Staybridge Suites Dawson Creek, was set to open its doors at the end of May but that has been delayed to July 28.

Cathay Pacific Lounge in Vancouver re-opening tomorrow

Cathay Pacific has announced the re-opening of their lounge at Vancouver International Airport. The lounge which has been closed since the early days of the pandemic will reopen on June 16 at 9:25pm. It will be open to those travelling in business class, Asia Miles Silver, Gold & Diamond members plus oneworld Sapphire and Emerald members flying on Cathay Pacific or oneworld flights.
