As a frequent traveler to Edmonton International Airport (YEG), I recently had the chance to visit the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge at YEG. It is located on the airport’s second floor near Gate 54. The lounge is conveniently situated right across from Chili’s. You can take the elevator or the stairway from the main floor to access it.
Lounge Access
As an Air Canada Super Elite member access is complimentary to the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge and was impressed by how quickly I got in. The entrance was staffed by friendly guest service agents who scanned my boarding pass and welcomed me inside.
Lounge Overview
In comparison to the Air Canada lounge at the Calgary Airport, this one is smaller, but it was relatively quiet during my visit, with plenty of available seating. The lounge has a variety of seating arrangements, including one-seater sofa couches, a TV area, a bar stool table section, and a no-cell phone area in the back. Looking out of the windows, there is a view of the terminal floor.
One lounge feature that stood out to me was the separate office space with six desks. It’s a great spot to get some work done if needed.
Food
You’ll find the food and drink area in the middle of the lounge. There’s a good selection of snacks, appetizers, soups, and beverages. There’s also a staffed bar area, where you can request an alcoholic drink.
Wrapping up
Overall, the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge at YEG is a solid choice for travelers seeking a comfortable and convenient place to relax before their flight. While it may not have any standout features, it offers all the essentials you would expect from an Air Canada lounge. I have been to this lounge when it was busy, and I always prefer to sit out in the passenger area instead.
