MBNA and Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan have come out with a new welcome offer for their Canadian Mastercards. Right now when you apply for and approved for either of the cards not only will you earn the standard welcome bonus miles but you’ll also be able to earn a $100 statement credit. The bonuses and statement credits and card details are as follows:

This offer appears to only be available via the links above which came to us from Alaska Airlines. The offer does not show up in our affiliate channel, on Great Canadian Rebates or even MBNA’s own website.
We have seen lots of incentives like elite credits for the US versions of Alaska’s cards thanks to the pandemic but these are the first offers to become available for us north of the border. Hopefully this means MBNA will also start looking at incentivizing their other cards. It would be nice to see the 60K offer on the Best Western card again and their proprietary cards could sure use a boost!
