According to an article in the Edmonton Journal, WestJet
is set to begin offering in flight Wi-Fi sometime in 2014. “CEO Gregg
Saretsky confirmed in an interview that WestJet is in the final phases
of negotiations with an inflight Internet provider”. Air Canada has been
testing inflight Wi-Fi between Montreal/Toronto and Los Angeles when in
U.S. airspace for a couple of years but have not expanded on that
service yet which means WestJet will more than likely be the first
airline in Canada to offer it on Canadian flights. Here is a link to the article
