Grab the American Express AeroplanPlus Platinum or Reserve Cards and receive an Air Canada eGfit Card with minimum spend

American Express is starting to make moves in the market again as all their competitors have been slugging it out on welcome bonus offers and card enhancements. For this round of updates Amex has focused on their premium and ultra-premium Aeroplan cards.  The only change to the cards is new limited welcome bonus offer that throws in an Air Canada eGfit Card on top of the Welcome Aeroplan Miles.

As of today, if you apply for and receive either the American Express AeroplanPlus Platinum Card or the American Express AeroplanPlus Reserve Card you can get an Air Canada eGift Card over and above each card's normal welcome bonus. The eGift card is awarded when you reach a minimum spend of $6,000 in 6 months on either card. If you get yourself the AeroplanPlus Platinum Card you'll receive a $150 eGift Card while the Reserve Card will get you a $200 eGift Card. The cards also retain their 40,000 Aeroplan Mile welcome bonus (Platinum) and 50,000 Aeroplan Mile welcome bonus (Reserve) when you spend $3,000 within the first three months of having the card.

Here are the details of the AeroplanPlus Platinum Card

and the details of the AeroplanPlus Reserve Card: It's nice to see American Express making some changes with their cards. From the earlier announcement on the American Express AIR MILES Platinum Card to now these Aeroplan offers, Amex knows they can't sit on their laurels with all that is going on in our market right now. Hopefully this means will see even more limited time offers on other cards in their portfolio!
