Which Credit Card Earns the Most Aeroplan Miles? The 2014 Update!

Quite possibly the most popular post on the Rewards Canada blog is from April 2012 and that post is titled Which Credit Card Earns the Most Aeroplan Miles? which included our very first Infographic.

As we all know at the start of this year there was a major shake up with Aeroplan credit cards as TD took over as the primary issuer of Aeroplan co-branded credit cards. This of course meant that we needed to update our infographic, which we have done below as well as taking the liberty of expanding it to include the sign up bonuses for all the cards.

This Infographic pulls data from the full Rewards Canada feature with 10 different spending scenarios which can be found here.

I hope you enjoy this updated chart and as always feel free to leave your comments below.

Now as we state in the graphic, those are the 'standard' sign up bonuses for these cards but you can actually get higher sign up bonuses for several of the American Express cards via the 'refer-a-friend' option and those cards and bonuses are as follows:

The Platinum Card from American Express: 60,000 Aeroplan Miles (awarded as Membership Rewards points) when you charge $1,000 in purchases to your Card in your first 3 months of Cardmembership

American Express AeroplanPlus Platinum Card: 51,000 Aeroplan Miles(Earn 25,000 miles upon first use of an approved Card and earn an additional 26,000 miles when you make $1,000 in purchases in the first three months of Cardmembership)

American Express AeroplanPlus Gold Card: 30,000 Aeroplan Miles (when you charge $500 in purchases to your Card in the first three months of Cardmembership)

You can find more spending scenarios on our site here
