Just in time for the holidays came this email from Safeway offering bonus Air Miles on Gift Card purchases! As you know we have always passed along the ‘trick’ of earning more miles or points on Gift Card purchases by buying them at Grocery Stores when you have a card that offers a grocery store accelerator. Some of those cards include one of our faves the American Express Gold Rewards Card (2x Points), the Scotiabank Gold American Express Card (4x Points), CIBC Aerogold and Aventura cards (1.5x Miles) and numerous others. This offer came at the right time as we have discussed maximizing the miles you earn this past week on CTV BC (see the video here) and on CKNW Vancouver. This is a great example of how can you maximize those miles by earning the bonus on the Gift Card and also taking advantage of any credit card multipliers!
Until November 28 you can earn up to 30 Bonus Air Miles on select Gift Card purchases at Safeway Stores in Canada. You have to print off the coupons to get the bonus miles, which you can do so here
